Cupid, a company which hosts a series of websites, recently reported a vast increase in visitors. Last year, the sites were averaging 15 million people per month, now they are seeing 100 million visitors each month.
Cupid offers an array of different sites catered to the specific individual. Whether users are looking for casual, traditional or niche dating, Cupid has a site.
"We aim to give our members access to their favorite dating site from whichever device or platform works for them so they can keep an eye on their membership wherever they are, and whatever they are doing," said CEO of Cupid.com, Bill Dobbie. "Online dating is one service that can really take advantage of location-based services - we know that some of our members love the fact that they can be at a café, updating their Facebook status, and be contacted by another member sitting nearby who is using the mobile app."
Online dating can be thrilling, exciting and bring success, but it is important people take their safety into account.
